Introduction Welcome to my personal CV website. Your privacy is important to me, and I am committed to protecting your personal data. This privacy policy explains what data is processed when you visit this website, chat with the AI assistant, or sign in with Google or GitHub.
Accounts and Authentication
- Anonymous session: When you visit the site, an anonymous session is created automatically via Firebase Authentication so you can use the chatbot without signing up. This session is identified only by a random identifier and contains no personal information.
- Google / GitHub sign-in: If you choose to sign in, I collect the basic profile information provided by Google or GitHub (name, email address, profile picture) via Firebase Authentication. This data is used solely to manage your account on this website and to unlock a larger daily chat quota and my contact details. It is never used for marketing.
Chatbot and AI
- Message processing: Messages you send to the chatbot are transmitted to Groq, a third-party AI inference provider, in order to generate a response. Conversations are not stored on my servers: once the response is generated, your messages are not retained by this website. Please avoid sharing sensitive personal information in the chat.
- Usage quotas: To keep the service available to everyone, a daily message counter linked to your session identifier is stored in a Firestore database. It contains only the identifier, a date, and a count — no message content.
Cookies and Local Storage
- Authentication state: Firebase Authentication stores your session state in your browser's local storage. This is essential for the site to function and is not used for tracking.
- Analytics: This site uses Vercel Analytics, which is cookieless and collects only anonymized, aggregated visit statistics.
- Third-party cookies: Google and GitHub may set their own cookies during the sign-in process. Please refer to their respective privacy policies for details.
Data Sharing and Processors
- Your data is processed by the following providers acting on my behalf: Google Firebase (authentication and quota storage), Groq (AI responses), and Vercel (hosting and analytics). I do not share your data with any other third party without your explicit consent, except as required by law.
Data Retention Daily quota counters are overwritten each day and become meaningless once the day has passed. Account profile data is kept for as long as your account exists. Anonymous sessions hold no personal data and may be deleted automatically after a period of inactivity.
